Description From the earth comes the treasure.

I wanted to try a modified style for myself by using textures slightly different than what I have been. I think I attacked this image more than any in a long time, tons of trial renders and slight modifications to get it to come together.

Created completely with Ultra Fractal.

It reminds me more, of dead red blood cells dying in the body.

Interesting image - makes me think of drinking champagne... perhaps because it's so close to the New Year, lol. Love the subtle texturing and colour palette. Well done!

I keep trying to find the words for your pieces, but I haven't come up with much except,"Man, that's awesome!"

So, uh, keep it up! I'm digging it.

I like the old rusted look I see on this one. atleast thats what I think it looks like. something old and rusted and fantastic. your fractals are always different and awesome!

These are really cool...
Somehow, they remind me of clocks. Another meaning?
I like the golden rust/snaky/spidery/dragonlike swirly-things on them...

Second person to mention clocks, have to think about that one. The gold swirls were my favorite part too, spent the most time fine tuning them.

Cool colors, and your use of circles, and texturing on them makes this one stand out from your usual stuff. I also like the pale colors contrasting against the darker ones in the circles--makes everything just stand out more.

Aeires In reply to DeepChrome [2007-12-13 00:28:29 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, most people do works like this with lighter molding on darker backgrounds but I wanted that sandstone, limestone feel to the backdrop. I might try some subtle color patterns in the near future if it all works out.

DeepChrome In reply to Aeires [2007-12-13 07:05:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I think you got the textures down very nicely. The whole thing really feels like different kinds of stone.

Rainyskye [2007-12-12 23:36:29 +0000 UTC]

I love how it's all loopy, and circular :3 very nice. It almost looks as though the texture had some sort of electricity running through the background and the holey circles. <3

Aeires In reply to Rainyskye [2007-12-13 00:26:46 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, there's tons of holes and loops in the print size version.

Oooh...something about this seems different. I mean, fractal art is by nature highly mutable, but this...I dunno. And I like it.

Aeires In reply to Evertide [2007-12-12 14:59:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's one of the aspects of the medium that is really cool and can be frustrating too. I always push myself to do new things, not so much for the medium with this one, but for myself at least.
