Description
A drop in conversion to the Edge Gundam that is meant to be a mass production model of the Swift Empyrean. Originally developers attempted to combine the Edge with the Empyrean's components and yielded embarrassing if not catastrophic results in both live fire tests and flight ending in the destruction of the mobile suit and pilot fatalities. Regardless the concept wasn't abandoned but rather revised and altered, the storm edge does away with the original's variable beam rifle and accelerator buster rifle and replaces it with a pair of smaller but effective beam gun blades and a low recoil Mega beam launcher. Being an inferior mobile suit to the Swift gundam the Edge suffers from the limitations of mass production and the same is said of the Storm Edge.
Some examples of these limitations include, a lose of sustained flight ability; while the Storm's flight speed rivals the Empyrean's it can only maintain high altitudes if in constant motion in addition the Storm cannot wield it's Mega beam launcher to it's full potential while in motion and must secure it's base in one way or another to do so.
However this Suit has it's share of advantages to such as the smaller profile and it can bring it's flight speed to bare while close to the ground making it an ideal suit for hit an run attacks, but it is up to the Pilot to bring out these advantages.
