Description The Martian moon Deimos imaged on March 10, 2023, by EXI (Emirates Exploration Imager).

At the time of closest approach, the spacecraft was at an altitude of 104 km above the surface of Deimos.

Deimos, the outer of the two Martian moons, needs 1 day, 6 hours and 18 minutes for a complete orbit.
Its orbit is at an altitude of 23 500 km above the Red Planet.
With 15.0 km by 12.2 km by 10.4 km Deimos is smaller than Phobos.

Hope (Emirates Mars Mission) is the first interplanetary mission of the United Arab Emirates.
It was launched on July 19, 2020, using a Japanese H-IIA-202 launch vehicle from the Tanegashima Space Center in Minamitane on Tanegashima Island and reached Mars on February 9, 2021.
