The Short of It:I am tired of these angry, challenging, emails circulating the internet supposedly created by Christians, for Christians. Be content in your home, be content in your life, and be content in your religion. If you are so desperate to prove your faith, then prove it to God. Prove it through your actions. Either you are Christian, or you are not. If you need to be angry and righteous every step of the way, chances are you are not, and no amount of prayer in school will save you.
Who am I? Who are YOU? Here’s an idea: go read your Bible, and leave me alone.

Art is in the eye of the beholder, no? Perhaps my opinions belong in my journal, but this is where this particular piece ended up. I make no apologies for that.

I completely agree, and as a strong Agnostic person, I feel taht a Christian should prove their beliefs before they try and guilt me into joining.
And, what are your personal standings on Christianity? Do you follow it? Or are you of other belief?

I am agnostic. I do not believe that Jesus Christ is my personal god and saviour. I do however believe that the basic fundamentals of Christianity are inspired, and good rules to live by. Treat others the way you want to be treated, love thy enemy, etc. I dislike the commercialism and the force-fed translations, and so many other parts. I like to think along positive lines, but I agree that anything that makes you feel guilty is a waste of time. Most of the Christian world that I have encountered has felt like a waste of time. Some of it was not. I still do not hold to their beliefs, though I have come to respect those who respect and honor their religion.
There is a book I recommend, you may have heard of it, called Conversations with God. It is the first one in a series, but I have only read this one. It is seriously enlightening, even if you don't believe that the guy is talking to God, or a god. It certainly felt to me like he was explaining how I already felt and believed. It was very controvertial in the Christian communities.

It isn't so much the cheese that bugs me, but the direct challenge to faith that goes along the lines of: if you don't ____, then you aren't a true Christian - basically, prove it to ME, or else you don't qualify.
It comes across as some school-yard drama, and it irks me when it falls into my inbox.

Yes, on a roll many times, actually... this happens to be one of those hot-button issues with me. I hate it when people get pushy and bitchy about religion.
