in this au monsters are injected with bloodlust, a substance that makes them more aggressive and start more fights but also makes them more skilled in combat
it’s similar to lusttale in the sense that they were injected with it because monsters are really weak in fights and that’s the reason why they lost the war
it’s also similar to underfell bc everyone is aggressive and wears red (papyrus is the exeption)
bloodlust is injected in monsters when they stop growing up (around 16 for most of them) so children and ghosts are less agressive (but they can pick up agressive habits from their surroundings)
bloodlust is also a drug harvested from humans and sold illegally, and one of the royal guard’s missions is to prevent its sale and use by people other than the royal guard
mettaton hosts a tournament where the strongest monsters fight sometimes to death and it’s the most popular show in the underground
monsters summon a set of 2-3 specific weapons to fight but can also have another small power similar to what they have in the original game (ex: teleportation for sans, flying for papyrus)
