and speaking of backstory I have started writing a book about Captain Hook Backstory and how he grew up to be Captain Hook the Notorious Pirate and how he becomes Peter Arch Enemy like we know the story of Peter Pan and we know who Captain Hook is he is a Pirate he does not like Peter Pan because Peter maid him lose his hand to a crocodile but like Maleficent story we never known what happen before so I am writing a book about that like what drove Hook to the darkside in my story he starts out as one of the Lost Boys and goes down a dark path.

Cool. They say J. M. Barrie's original version was darker and a lot like that. Outsiders would grow old in Neverland, and Peter himself used to kill the lost children before they'd become adults, and the few that got away went on to become pirates. Then Barrie changed his mind and wrote it the way we know it.

really you don't say tell me more tell me more. dang that really does sound grim I hope my idea wont be that grim like the part I am planning to have on how James Hook losses his hand to a Crocadile.

And it looks like we will never know for sure.
But I hope my story won't be that dark like in my story James Hook has sister who falls in love with Peter and James is the over protective brother and later on in the story something terrible happens to his Sister and James blame Peter which leads to him to grow up and become Captain Hook and also leads to how he lost his hand. I hope that doesn't sound to grim my parents said it did but what do you think?

it does well I am glad and very happy to hear you say that thanks
as for there ages I am still working on that I was paning on having Peter and Hook as 14 years old and james Hook himself is 16 years old does that sound suitable?

I mean Peter and James Sister as 14 and James Hook himself is 16 or I could have Peter and Hook Sister 12 years old since Peter has been portrait as 12 year old boy although I though he was 14 in the Disney Cartoon we all grew up with because he sounded like he was 14 but who knows for sure so for now I will have Peter and Hook sister as 14 year old and James hook himself is 16 years old.

Probably 12 would be too young for a sort of love story, unless it's puppy-love.

yeah it would be and I plan for the story to be like one of those Harry Potter books I mean as long as harry Potter.
so I guess Peter and hook sister will be 14 and James hook is 16.

I love how you managed to give her that terrifying/disdainful expression. A lot of people have this tendency to sexualize her lately, but Maleficent is not meant to be sexy, she is meant to scare the hell out of you D:

This looks amazing! How long have you been doing 3d modeling like this?

What's the difference between 3D modeling and 3D sculpting?

Hmmm... well, old modeling used to be more or less about manipulating basic shapes, like spheres, cubes, cylinders, and combining them, bending them, twisting them, welding or substracting from them in order to create a model.
Today's sculpting works as if you were physically working on a piece of clay. This [link] is massively sped up, but that's more or less how it works. It really is like virtual clay.

hm, okay, I see the difference. When I was taking 3D modeling last semester my teacher had us using Maya, which is just modeling. He didn't say anything about sculpting. Then again it was also just a beginning class. Is sculpting the same as modeling, like it can later be animated?

Yes. But, after the model is done, you have to rig it. Which means giving it some sort of internal bones structure, with joints, you may simulate muscle tension, tendons. And then it can be animated.
