I often hear this angle called impossible and I have to agree, it is really hard. I think there is a secondary problem which is good to focus on: a drawing is not the same as a photo. Back in the art academy, I often saw fellow students make portraits using a projector. But when you draw the contoures of the photo you are projecting, you will soon find out that if you keep those contoures, your drawing will not work out at all. Its the only advice I can give you now, I think I just got lucky this time.

i've been working on it in class, making fellow students pose for me lol even from the side and kind of downwards..i just can't get it! maybe i just need more practice. it always seems to look like their heads are still plainly upright.

Here expression is well defined. The subtle shading on the face and especially the eyes is great. She looks like a mother looking into her babies eyes. Was this done with a model?

No I didnt use a model, just the picture. But the studies of daVinci helped a lot.

It's a wonderful portrait. I use photos for most of my drawings. I have't been able to find anyone to pose for me.
