Description I did this back in June at the very end of my Graphics A level. Its an advertisement for Alton Towers, the most popular theme park in the UK.

I spent 12 hours on the piece and really enjoyed using a free and almost painterly style in conjunction with the vectors

Absolutely love this image, I can't believe how great this looks. I like to look at it and try and see as many references as possible. I'm quite a fan of the callbacks to old themes and rides although since I assume this is a few years old now, they weren't old at the time! Either way, It's a new wallpaper for me Thanks!

I can name a few here:
Yellow coaster in the middle: The Smiler
Coaster with drop on the right: Oblivion
Turquoise coaster next to the Dino skull: Air/Galactica

Here's a link to a picture of the corkscrew:

Sorry, just a couple more things in hindsight.
1. You were right on everything else
2. If you've been, the corkscrew is now above the entrance and is painted purple.

Soz to pop your bubble (kinda late too) but I believe that the yellow coaster inn the middle may be reminiscent of the old 'corkscrew' coaster. It was yellow and was (obviously) a corkscrew, as illustrated. I could be wrong though as it's coming out of the ground, which the corkscrew didn't do. Either way I doubt it was the smiler as it's black not yellow! Hope I helped and cleared that up

Looks great as per usual nick. I'm a little bit disappointed that it's not anything a little bit different though. With no disrespect, many people could make a design highlighting different things at a theme park. I was expecting something a little more different! But it's obviously still fantastic .
