Surprisingly Aina wasn't tired, though they had walked up the icy ridge for hours. Of course it was probably easier for Aolyr and Yrie who took on their lupin forms. Walking on four legs was probably easier than two.

"Did you know," she slowed in her pace to look out past the hills, "that this was a secret passage an army took to invade a long lost royal city?"

The twins looked out to where she stared and she smiled. "Oh they traveled for miles in a blizzard. They believed if they overtook the city they would gain all the magical power. Of course, they did not survive the cold. The storm had been a trap the king orchestrated. Only his people who held the power to tame a dragon could pass through safely."

As she continued to walk Yrie let out a whimper. "Of course that's all a lie, but this trail does remind me of the story from a book." She giggled.

Aolyr growled and gently gnawed on her hand as he moved past her. - Wandrian Odyssia
