Digitally inked... and the lines just disappear... why bother?!Still struggling with realistic fire.

This was mostly an experiment where I tried to use more saturated colours and the lighting played a big part in that.
Cole is fun to draw ^^

Ah! Fantastiska färg-val! Det blev verkligen en jättecool effekt med den där tok-lysande turkosa linearten

Vilken härlig färgläggning! Jag gillar det där ljusblåa som är på yttre linjerna. Man tänker inte på att det är där först, men det ger som extra liv till bilden ändå.

Nice clothes and colouring too. Fire is hard, right now it seems hollow but that might be ok considering that there's no "wood" of sort. I guess it's Magical fire that he's using, in that case, to me, it looks fine. ^__^ But if you want more realistic fire, try making it less transparent.

Yeah, the transparency is a problem, and because the coat underneath is red the fire doesn't show very well. I should try with another layer perhaps.

I think if you added a little blue flame to the fire it might make it more realistic and balance the blue in the outline.

I could try that. I think the reason I left it out to begin with was because I didn't think that a light source could be subject to backlight. You may have a point though, it could add balance.

I think that disappearing lines look good. They don't take anything away from a picture, in any case.

Yeah, I'm beginning to see that colour pictures don't need varied line width, especially if they're dark. It works better on black and white pieces.
