Really nice! You really captured both characters. Yakul's legs look a bit stiff, though. The front legs would probably be a little bit bent right now, because otherwise they'd break when he hit the ground! But I really love the way you portrayed these two, especially your subtle but really pleasant style of coloring

Thanks! If you look at images of deer or horses running, you'll notice the way they extend their front legs ([link] ). In terms of aesthetics, the full extension of the legs gives Yakul a strong sense of forward motion, as if he's stretching forward. At least, that was my thought process

Just an example of how nature doesn't make sense - don't listen to me, I was wrong haha, nature did something I didn't expect it to! I guess it makes sense for forward momentum. It does seem that they also bend their legs during part of the running process, like when they first leap up. Also, deer run funny, I just realized, since they basically prance, like with front legs and back legs moving together...

It's pretty amazing! You'd think those tiny little legs would snap, but they can really handle a lot of weight and pressure. And yeah, I guess deer do run kind of strangely, haha

Well, I guess it works for them... they always seem pretty elegant, in motion. Amazing the kind of power they must have in those tiny little spindly legs!
