Layla works at the Winston Estate. Although she does follow orders, it's too dangerous to have her wandering about, so Liulfr decided to keep her in a cage to protect others and herself. She is only brought out when there is a emergency.

On the day of Nabil 's wedding, Layla fought against Link in 1 on 1 combat in the halls of the Winston Estate. Her fascination towards Link 's Zora hat caused her death.
Upon Liulfr 's death, it is discovered that Layla was actually brought up from the dead by the Dark Lord, Ganondorf. In order to stay alive, Layla had to do Ganondorf's bidding and deliver Winston 's new weapon to him.
