Description Hey, remember that nameless takoyaki girl I made a quick headshot of? www.deviantart.com/aerilate/ar…

Well, now she has a name and is fully ref'd up!

As a quick backstory, Takoyumi was an adoptable (in which you can see the original design here: sta.sh/01utf44kdqzz ) that was gifted to me by a very kind MetalChoboco! As such, I have lots of things I want to do with her!

As for Takoyumi's backstory....

Takoyumi Negi, or "Yumi" for short, is the recent owner of the Tako Bowl, a Japanese restaurant located in a seedy part of Smorgasbord City. As a result, the foodgirl has been forced to adapt to the precarious underbelly of the Hotpot District, dealing with street punks and yakuza gangs alike - all whilst keeping her small business afloat.

But what is a foodgirl? A foodgirl, or foodman as the general term is to be stated, is a human/food hybrid, to which 50% of the human population turned into overnight around 200 years ago. A foodman generally has one defining characteristic on their body that has some sort of edible substance. In this case, Yumi has pigtails made of fresh takoyaki balls. Food parts vary greatly in size and in complexity, such as an entire arm made up of a hot dog, or simply having egg whites for eyes. The food is always kept in a fresh and sanitary manner, for an indefinite amount of time. Food parts can be eaten, but take a while to grow back - and it also hurts the foodman in question. The surrounding climate of foodmen suddenly appearing worldwide has changed the course of human/foodman history, leading to vast cultural and societal changes.

Back to Takoyumi:

Yumi has always dreamed of owning her own restaurant, and that dream has developed Yumi into the caring, inventive, (and a little bit overbearing) foodgirl she is today. However, Yumi also has learned how to defend herself (and others) thanks to her years at the Tako Bowl being in the deeper parts of the Hotpot District, a shady section of the city where criminal dealings often take place. That's where her Tako Bat comes into play, which while it is indeed made up of delicious takoyaki balls, it's still packs quite a punch, and is still steaming hot. Even without her bat, Yumi has quite literally a few martial arts under her belt(s) that she learned online swiftly after the first encounter with the shady punks of the Hotpot District.

Alongside having fighting experience, Yumi also has heaps of cooking experience as well, which she learned from a young age under her late father. While her main expertise is food from the East, Yumi also has experience with a wide variety of dishes from many different corners of the world. She can whip you up anything from a simple bowl of ramen, to something as complex as a wedding cake.

Yumi's policy is always "customers first", inside and outside of the kitchen. She puts others needs before herself, is willing to accommodate to anyone in need of help, and is willing to comply with any request asked of her. Of course, being so willing to help out and serve has made her a little overbearing at times, almost to the point of going over the top to serve customers - at the expense of their waistlines, or their sanity.

Nevertheless, Takoyumi wants nothing more than to serve good food, good people, but certainly won't take others from putting others, herself, and her livelihood at risk.
