I sketched and colored this with Painter Classic. I was just experimenting with the lighting tool, and different lighting angles. I overlayed with watercolors and then aribrushed the rest. I really love the results. I might do a something like this again. I really need the practice. ^^Related content

It's awesome. But then again its all I ever could afford... I bought it with the tablet and Adobe photoshop. Not bad for 99 bucks!

Seriously! What sort of tablet do you use? I've been trying to gather opinions... my old one got stepped on during one of my many moves, and its pressure sensitivity is shot >< I've been thinking of buying a Bamboo, since an Intous is a little outside of my price range...

It's a Wacom tablet, it came with Painter Classic and Adobe Photoshop. I rarely use Adobe, but not a bad deal at all, and I got it way back in 2002... so long ago. I would love to upgrade, but alas the funds aren't available. One day, though. *dreams*

Yeah, I know the feeling... I need glasses before I need a tablet, and I need to finish college before I need glasses, and... yeah it pretty much just spirals. But man, every time I try to draw anything on my ancient tablet with the huge cracks in the plastic, I kind of siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh....

Hmm, I think you definately need a tablet! It blows having to sacrifice your artistic ideas, we all get caught up with things or just get lazy, but at least that tablet will be there waiting for you! *hugs*
And my tablet has developed a slight crack on the top layer!!! I wonder if I could replace it?

I don't really mind drawing on paper... it just hurts my hand more... damn arthritis. ><
My got stepped on during one of the many moves we've made... and some of the layers got crunched together. So it still works, but the pressure sensitivity is absolutely shot and sometimes the cursor freaks out and starts darting all over the screen if I pass it over a crack in the tablet... 9_9 sigh.
If your tablet still works even with the crack, meaning it doesn't jump around and it's still pressure sensitive, you'll probably be fine. But they don't last forever :<

Aww, I sorry Erin. I'll keep a look out for any tablets out there... I've seen some that were so nice, but so pricey! *double sigh*

Right now I'm thinking about getting a Bamboo. The cheapest, tiniest Intous 4s are still a hundred bucks, and I'd rather get at least a medium size one... and Bamboos are at least made by Wacom, even if they're not Top Of The Line I've heard good things about them.
I keep dragging Kasey by the Tablet aisle at Best Buy and being like "whiiiiine." He's being resistant though. Maybe next time I get a student loan I'll just order one online so he can't stop me u_u

I'm glad you like it! I finished it quickly, too! I was surprised because I was having problems earlier. I've been using Lester's laptop to draw, and in the kitchen area, of all places. High traffic. But it seems to work.
