Okay this is for valentine cleanup.I had to rush it a bit because my computer crashed and I had to redo the entire background
. I might edit it later because Iβm debating if I should add watchog's brother in the prison cell.anyway I'll write more details later but I still have some things to do so in short:
Since Aurio is a squire he got the task to clean the chambers by taking the prisoners, when he arrives in the dungeons he is attacked by a watchog, who wanted to use the commotion around the festival to sneak in and free his brother.
Aurio's report (in short): Sire I am happy to announce that the chambers have been cleaned and all the prisoners are secured in their cells including the watchog that attacked earlier, after I defeated him I put him in his brothers cell.

A FREELANCE CRITIC HAS ARIVED! I think that the picture looks great except for one thing. the Watchog. to me, it looks rather.... deformed.
The body is okay, it is the head and legs that get me. The legs seem a little crooked, and rather off center to the bend of the body. The head kind of looks like it is not even attached. It looks like it's floating right in front of it's chest, which is a bit freaky.
Absoluetly everything else looks great: the fire, background, and the Riolu. It is just the Watchog that gets me. I'm sorry if I seem insensitive. I just try to tell it like it is. A critic has to be neutral to do their job right.

Iβm really not that good with perspective and applying that to the way I should draw a body (or background for that matter) so I appreciate it if people point out mistakes I made.
Yes I see your point with the legs they do look a bit crooked donβt they 
Also in the original sketch the head looked fine but when I added the scarf thing I moved the head a little bit but forgot to put it back into the original position 
I donβt think you are being insensitive at all on the contrary I appreciate you took the time to really look at the picture and to write this critic.

No prob, That's true itβs because a lot of people don't like to be confronted with their mistakes, for example:
when people ask do you like random object/art piece A they don't actual want to hear you say you don't like it nor any critics.
There are way less people who actually really want to receive critics.
Since I want to get better I actually like good critics.
Also since I myself can be painfully truthful I appreciate the truth.
In my opinion there is a big difference when someone asks do you like my artwork or do you have any critics.
Because I can like a piece of art and it can be very good judged on the skill of the artist while on the other hand Critic usually doesnβt have anything to do with the actual level of the artist like for example: proportions, theyβre either correct or not (of course it can vary with style but unless it's a mutated character there is still a border where you can still say it's my style seriously or where saying so is just an lazy excuse.)
This said critic can also be good and bad.
If critic is just simply bashing saying things like it's ugly and stupid then it's crappy critic really I wouldn't even call it critic it's just called being an attention seeking ass.
But if Critic contains valuable feedback like in yours for example, take another look at the Watchog because his legs look a bit crooked, then it's good critic.
Also I think that people are more willing to listen when you put something positive somewhere in there otherwise you'll either de-motivate people or just piss them off and then they won't take your advice seriously.
like how you pointed out that you liked the picture but the Watchog was a bit off, I think that's the best way to give critics.

Not so long ago I almost never made backgrounds because I usually fail with perspective and stuff so I didn't get to draw these effects but lately I've been forcing myself to draw backgrounds and of course that gives me the opportunity to add lots of effects
