Commissions open! Click the [link]My most favorite of Millennium Items, belonging to my most favorite of characters. It's also fun to make and wear, especially if you're a complete YGO nerd like me. XD Weighs about 7 ounces. The Ring bit measures 4 3/4", with the spindles almost 2 1/2".

Wow! I've been trying to make my own Millennium Ring, but I can't find a ring shape to use for the outer circle part of it. What did you use? I've been trying to find a wooden ring or a lighter metal one, but so far, no luck.

Hello! I actually formed my own ring shape out of paperclay. It's harder to get the exact shape right, but if you lay it over a template and let it dry, I find that you can come pretty close! I hope this helps!

Hey, since these are AMAZING! Once my group gets more members would you mind doing a blog entry like once a month as a tutorial for different props like do the millennium items first then branch out into other common props? ^^ Also since you have ALLOT more watchers than me would you mind posting a lil thing about my group?

That sounds like a good idea. :3 Props are actually my favorite part of making cosplays. Although there might be certain things I don't want to do tutorials for, since I offer commissions and whatnot and the money helps me out. But I will start paying more attention to how I make swords and whatnot so that I might be able to write tutorials for them.
Sure thing, I was planning to mention the group soon, probably in my next journal entry, which will likely be after Connecticon so I can write about that too.

Yay! Props are my favorite part of cosplays too ^^ Okai, but just curious you don't need to tell me but, how do you make the millennium rod? I tried like 4 different ways and I can't figure it out D:

I don't mind helping. :3 For the Rod, I used a wooden dowel I sanded down to get it narrower at the bottom, and the top bit is a styrofoam ball covered in air dry clay. The wing bits are insulation sanded down to shape. The detail at the bottom is also air dry clay. The ball is secured with a kind of dowel connecting the rod and the ball. And then I just cut the Rod in half and hollowed a bit of the inside out so I could put the dagger in there with some screw on pieces. XD I hope that helps?
Connecticon is by far my favorite convention.

Heavy? Air clay has always been super light when I've used it. That's strange. What kind do you use?
Hopefully I can, but we'll see. XD I've never actually gotten in Kuroshitsuji yet, so I'm not familiar with those characters, but it sounds like a lot of fun! I know the characters from seeing cosplays of them before, and the character's outfits are awesome. No, I missed the chess match at AB. Cosplay Chess is usually my favorite things to do at cons, but lately I keep missing them. >< But that's awesome! Did you get to kill any of the other pieces?

But right now I'm saving up for Sebastian ^^ as he's like my favorite character from Kuroshitsuji, and Kuroshisuji is my fave manga^^

I was in Connecticon's for two years, as different versions of Riku both times, and both times I got killed by all the dead characters getting summoned back on the field and going on an all out assault on me. XD It's awesome. Oh, you've cosplayed Marik? That's awesome! YGO cosplay high five!
It's always wonderful to be saving up to cosplay a favorite character. Ends up being something of a dream cosplay. <3 And then when you finally get to do it it's so satisfying. I hope you get to cosplay Sebastian soon!
Oh, I was checking my schedule for CTcon and the photoshoot for Riku I thought I'd scheduled on Friday is actually on Saturday. So it turns out I won't be cosplaying Riku Friday. =/ Sorry. I was really hoping we could get pics together. But I'll still be on the lookout for you to say hi!

Ahahah, the first wig I styled looked like crap too. That's why I'm redoing Riku! XD Almost everything about that costume I wanted to have a second chance at, so this is my second chance. You cosplayed to school? That's awesome. I would never have had the courage to do that. o.o
I'm cosplaying Thief King on Friday, and I think I'm hanging with a YGO group for most of the day. But I don't know for sure, maybe I'll get a chance to slip Riku on. It also depends if I'm trying to get tan makeup again. XD I'd have to wash all that off first. But if you want, maybe I could take some pictures of you either way? I'm by no means a professional but I do enjoy photography. I know how it is to want pictures of your cosplay. I doubt I'll be with the YGO group all day. How long are you going to be at the con on Friday? Couldn't make it for the whole weekend? =/

The YGO group I'm in apparently will have all three Bakuras, and one if not both of the Mariks. X3 Also, Connecticon usually has the largest number of YGO cosplayers out of the cons I've been too, so I'm sure we'll meet up with a lot of other people too. If you see us, definitely come say hi!

that...that is freaking amazing! If I wasnt so broke I'd commission it right now! lol i used to have a wooden one but it was badly made and it broke...but that..that is the best darn Millennium Ring i have EVER seen! o.o heh if I'm lucky maybe I'll be able to one day get enough money for it.. but seriously I actually have to totally bow to your amazing ability to make it look perfect

Wow. By far the best Millenium Ring reproduction I've seen. I... just wow.
I'm sorry if you've posted this information elsewhere and I've just missed it, but may I ask what materials you used to make this? My friends and I are doing a group Yu-Gi-Oh cosplay next spring, and Millenium Items are obviously a must, so...
Any tips you could give would be greatly appreciated.

My Millennium Ring is made mostly of Paperclay. It's a light, air-dry clay that's easy to use. The rest is posterboard/wood, and eye screws. After the Ring has dried and been sanded, I find coating it with something like modge podge helps give it a nice smooth and shiny finish before you spraypaint.
