You wouldn't believe what scams go on over here. The latest one was a politician who was found to have forged mobile phone expenses. He "dissapeared" for a few days (not even the other politicians knew where he was) and was spotted by a reporter and was forced to resign!

im the same way actually! unless asked, where upon i'll go into a massive rant about how America is basically fascist and how anarchy will solve all the problems seriously though, America is nothing like the foreign stereotypes make it out to be, or even how it used to be back before we started butchering the constitution, its literary run by a fascist government pretending to be democratic, and Homeland Security is basically the American Nazi Party. i need to get out of here before the shit hits the fan

oh my god he went into hiding and everything! out here in Illinois our governor tried to sell Obama's senate seat once he became president and got caught because his phones were tapped! O.O he has been on trial virtually non stop ever sense, occasionally appearing on a reality show here and there to keep his publicity up

What's worse is that politicians get paid huge amounts of money and then they complain about "how budget cuts will help recover the state's money"
Just give up your f***king wages!
They only work a few weeks a year anyway.

Italy is more like a Banana Republic.... where if you own the most of TV broadcasting channels and newspapers, you can get at the goverment easily...
And Berlusconi owns the 90% of Italian main TVs....

AND HERE TOO POLITCIANS GETS DISGUSTING WAGES!
Politicians of the Chamber of Deputies gets a monthly wage of 15.000 € meanwhile senators gets 17.000 € ...

If we do a couple of calculations where there are 630 Deputies and 315 Senators we get a monthly expenditure of...
14.805.000 €!! (with the same money you can buy a used 737).

And then they're going to cut the public servicies, they need to cut theit wages intstead!

oh my god i totally agree! they are always finding ways the shaft the common man economically. really lowering their ungodly paychecks would definitely help the economy more that budget cuts! and its not just the politicians that do that either, its also the CEOs! they bump up their wages until they literally make more than the president! (i counted 5 cases of CEOs who got caught doing that in the last 3 months) i swear to god, we need to eat the rich [link]

The construction and education sectors have been the worst effected by the cutbacks. Do they honestly think that their money is more important than the population's education?
If a politician could live the life of a normal working human being for a week, I'm sure they'd think differently. (slim chance of that ever happening )

oh yeah! and that effects me directly cuz my dad is a part time college professor, and all those cuts seriously effect his income, which we depend on as my mom is unemployed! and really, unless you work at Harvard or something college professors dont get paid much

We should start our own political party with the aim of putting people before profits and if.. I mean WHEN we come to power all politicians, CEO's, etc.. will be forced to take "normal" wages!

well he teaches speech but he was a philosophy/religion major, so he ideal would like to teach ethics, philosophy, stuff like that or world religion

and i wouldent have any problem with that as long as i knew everybody else was happily making a living without the people in power sucking up all the money!
