I take a moment in silence, for the hobgoblin has died in Spectacular Spider-Girl... But rejoice! For the Hobgoblin strikes back in the Amazing Spider-man!

Its been nearly twenty years, but The Hobgoblin will finally make his come back in November's issue of ASM, and with a new look and flaming sword to boot! Now, Imma speak of my personal opinion of this new design, and this new Hobgoblin...
Imma miss the cape, and the Horned Glider, but I always wanted to see Hobby in Wings (Not the 2099 one though), and though flaming swords seem cliche, they will always be a symbol of Epicness in my book. When drawing this, I added the gauntlets, and made the wings more Dragon/Demon like, but I still like the design a lot! I dunno, its my opinion, and I believe Humberto Ramos did a good job on this. Still, I will miss the old school Tunic and Cape...

But, I'm happy as hell for this, because my all time favorite villain will finally return to the comics! May he once again strike fear like the criminal mastermind he was , back in the olden days! Now the question arises... Is this the true return of Kingsley, from his perfect ending? or has Macendale, or one of the other Hobgoblins returned from beyond the grave? Or... Has some new criminal come across one of Kingsley's old weapon caches, just as Kingsley did with Osborn so long ago? Guess we'll have to wait and see... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!
