A piece of concept art for the Nuzlocke comic I'll be doing in the summer titled 'The Fall'. This is, obviously, Arnold.
He's... Terrifyingly adorable. XDCharmander belongs to Pokemon franchise and GameFreak.
-But the art belongs to me.
Made in GIMP 2.8 in about 2 hours.

But anyway, Arnold's so freaking cute. It's a good thing he evolved because I don't think I could have endured drawing that level of adorable any longer. :I

I did... I don't typically draw cute things. My gallery backs me up there.
Koga and Surge are good. The rest are crap. :I They did, however, give me some idea on how to draw them so it wasn't a waste. I'd recommend it just so you get a feel for the characters before you really have to draw them.

Yeah, I guess I'll go do that, but I've just got so many other things to do artistic wise. I have a whole two years worth of sketches I told myself I was going to roughly ink and put down in a huge sketch dump.

Well, nowadays, my "concept arts" are just what I doodle in class. They aren't always accurate, but I remember what really defines them as characters so they're still recognizable. Which is what's most important.
Ehehe... I have a 100 pg sketchbook that's 7 pages from being full and there's a lot of stuff in there that I want to post in a series of sketch dumps, so I understand.
Though, if you scan them in, most people have some sort of photo editing software (preview on the mac or iPhoto, or even GIMP) and you can change the levels of black and white so it looks darker. I do that with my sketches to get rid of some of the really sketchy lines and make the drawing easier to see.

I just want to clean up all the pencil rubbing that's been going on. If I ink them in, I can just run an eraser over it without having to worry about where I rub. I guess I could just clean up the worst of them though.

Oh.. Then yeah, inking would be the way to go. I didn't even think about that. That's the thing about pencils (mechanical especially) it just gets so messy after awhile... And the paper can get a little yellow too depending on the type and quality.

It's pretty good quality paper, but not so much with the pencils. Nice pencils are EXPENSIVE.
I just finished inking and cleaning up the ones I felt like really needed it. I'll probably start scanning stuff in later today. Might even get the dump done by tomorrow.

Yes. Yes they are. I just use a .5 mechanical pencil and then scan it before it gets smudged.
