Now for something completely different in regards to what I normally post.

During high school I was really interested in learning about 3D modeling. I had thought about entering animation or video game design for post-secondary but money issues sort of forced me to rethink that plan :/

After 3 years of learning how to use 3Ds Max 7, most of (if not all of) I put my knowledge to use and made this model. Of course even then I had to use another model that I found on a different forum site as a point of reference to get everything right :S

Also, I never learned how to texture models so I had to stick to dark colours for this and my computer can only render so fast D:

This model is based off of the cityship Atlantis from Stargate Atlantis. My own idea was to convert it into a specialized and heavily defended "mobile outpost" with a far better ability to stay in space for longer periods of time compared to the normal city ship. The base of the city also has extra buildings around it at specific points since again this is mainly designed to stay in space, not land on planets like Atlantis can.

I feel like going back and making something, anything, now and maybe even finishing this off :c
