Glad to finally be done with this step on this drawing. You always think things are going to go one way and then they go some other way. This one was kind of mentally exhausting. And I have some regrets. Oh well. Overall I am proud.

Quite a few details differ from the original line work. I think maybe the most important thing was how Jupiter was rendered. The original approach I was going to take was just using lines, but it really wasn't readable as Jupiter - I'm a lot happier with the way it looks now, and it was great start in using a more painterly approach. I also added a little Tardigrade inside of one of Callisto's bubbles to give more to the astronomy side of the story being told here.

The artwork is my own interpretation or presentation of the Greek/Roman mythological characters and their relationships, as well as the properties of the celestial bodies which bear their names. The combination of the two led to interesting meditation on power, attraction, sexuality, and seduction.
