This quote has good intentions, but I find that it is so misinterpreted by people, many seem to take it to mean “it’s okay for me to make no attempt at all to help my mental health/life problems because it’s okay to not be okay rite guys?!?!?”
I prefer the phrasing “it’s okay to need help” or “it’s okay to be a work in progress”

i always took it as more of "it's okay to not constantly be happy/mentally healthy/just okay in general" because that just isn't something that's possibly
i'm sorry of you took it in the wrong way oof
