from my greatest sorrow, to my greatest joy

though all hell had sought to employ
their every vile vice.

Only God's Grace could suffice
this, my insatiable soul.

so, take heed

lest you take comfort in my distress

my life's last vale, lies strewn
with the bones of those
who mistook my tears for weakness

of those who harbored ill, and disregarding still
that the LORD is my light, the LORD is my God.
and that He both body and soul can kill.

To Him I call,
and my heart beneath His arbored wings,
lies silent, softly, and whispered tender things.
While ten thousand around me fall.

For,though wide the gaping maw of hell,
and its gravity immense,

Deeper yet is Heaven's well,
and stronger still is its defense.
