Description Jacket made for my Experimental Drawing class. Done with the help of my friend Bryan. The assignment was consumerism so I made a jacket out of 4 suitcases, a pair of sandals, leftovers from this [link] and the lining of a suit jacket I got from Goodwill.

I like the style, and the buckles on the color is quite eye catching, in a good way, In my opinion, its a little too small on you , It still looks good, and i'm sure its the style you intended, maybe I'm just looking at it from a different stylistic point of reference

It was totally too small. It was the first article of clothing I ever made and I didn't have a pattern so it was all really just guess and check, which of course failed. Not terribly but still. Sorry it took so long for me to reply btw. And again thanks for the fav.

nice work, i'd love to take a look at it in person, did you hand stitch it or use a machine?

Both. Most of the body and the lining was done by machine but the sleeves and pockets as well as the smaller details were all sewn by hand.

I really like the collar, especially with all the buckles up there. Looks really cool .

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. Actually most of my class didn't realize it was my project because I was wearing it rather than displaying it on the wall.

LOL! But were they all the more impressed when they realized that it was your project? Seems like it really had to have been successful if they didn't even realize you made it at first.

They were all fairly impressed which made me happy. It turned out really well but it is a tad small. No pattern so it was all guess and check. Oops. We haven't gotten our grades back yet but I think I did well.
