It is hard sometimes for me to pull back on the details. I am glad you like the more minimal approach.

It lends attention to the areas with, while not drowning out the areas with out. Hard to put in words but you get it.... Hahaha yea me and dialing it back, I just can't. I freak when there's empty space xD

Open areas are hard, sometimes it feels like it's just not finished.

Another awesome piece, and I love how you worked the signature into the leaf.   I have a question if you don't mind.  Most of my work is pencils, but I am trying to get into inking again and was wondering if you had any tips on line weights?   I am using the micron pens and not traditional tools, so I was hoping you might have an insight on how to work the line weights into my pencil work

First off, thanks for your kind words, Phil.  Secondly, Microns are a soulless tool.  I use them sometimes at shows, but your best bet for real energy and movement with your ink line is a brush or nib.  I always use a thin to thick rhythm when putting down lines.  Always where lines intersect, make them have different weights and then, of course, your foregrounds, mid-grounds and background lines should always be different.  Foreground - thick etc. working your way beck to the thinnest which would be the background.  That way your priority is always on the foreground elements.  I could keep going on, but that's just the basics, and I'm sure you already know this stuff.   Miss you guys; I have to get back out to your neck of the woods.
