I've always felt a strong pull towards the ocean. When I was younger, it was my dream to be a marine biologist. And while that may no longer be a life goal for me, the influence of the ocean can be seen in many aspects of my life, from my artwork, down to my mineral collection.

I know, right? I want my sister's camera so bad. T_T Luckily she's awesome and lets me use it!

What kind of camera is it?

It's a Nikon D3000 DSLR, shoots 10.2MP. *drool*

She's always been SUPER good at photography naturally, so she watched me while I took my darkroom class and saw how much I loved it, so she got a camera. She wants me to teach her how to use it, but I'm learning it functions VERY well on auto...even though I'm used to working fully on manual.

Sorry, I'm rambling.

I have a Canon SLR-I bought it for dirt cheap at wall mart, and the pictures with it are great. Check into it? Maybe do an art fundraiser in the future to build up to buying one. ^^

Oh, nice! I have a Canon Power Shot Elf. My mum's got a slightly more fancy one with zoom. The problem is, I want one like my sister's which has the exchangeable lenses. Now that I know what an f-stop is and how to control depth of field and all that in-depth goodiness, I want a camera that I can use it on.

I am wanting to save up for one. If I get a job, I'll get one. If I don't, I'll hope when I relaunch my Etsy I can get a bit of business.

Thanks! I was surprised when I saw it close up myself, I didn't realize I had manage to catch so much detail.
