Colored sketch commission for Angelfonds of their lovely dragon character by the same name, Angelfonds X)

Late commission is late, but I'm slowly getting more and more work done. I'm quite pleased with the result of this, even if it's just a sketch. I havent sat and focused on drawing a dragon body in a while. I love her fluff, and that tail was probably the more fun part to work on X) Beautiful character, she was a pleasure to work on~

Before I started this sketch, I made a quick little headshot to regain the feel for my style

These sketches were made one after the other, with the one on the left made first. I decided it was way too cartoony and started over, with the one on the right being my redo. I think it's all in the eyes. For me, if eyes start off too cartoony, the rest of the figure becomes cartoony as well. More realistic eyes, more realistic rest of the character. Ain't it strange?
