Description Incendia & Friends..
Its not visible due to the high iteration count, but theres a very fine strand that connect it to the main set.

At first I thought it was an image of a random blob, but then I realized it was a fractal. Awesome.

It's some sort of MandelPasta.. since you're italian, I suppose that you can cook better pasta than this crude example ..
I will post the formula today in the FF..

I enjoyed, the formula is in the database, but the result is fairly bad

Why my formulas always ends being overly complex or overly complicated..

Most probably you ate the W in those systems..
Use it on the escape radius as well as the iterations, its not a constant.. and use more than 20 iterations!!

Have you already tried to render with corrected params?
Don't worry for the bailout mb calculates it automatedly

Ok..file downloaded..I checked your implementation QuadrayBrot and its no-no..
I mean, it doesn't look like the pizza of the photo!!
look at the last post, there's a translation to GLSL posted by Syntopia, perhaps it can be more readable by you

dark-beam In reply to Aexion [2011-04-26 22:22:40 +0000 UTC]

Okay but the result is correct or not?
The formula is okay, it is very simple to write

No..it isn't..that Quadray looks like some sort of alien potato
Check again the formulas..
perhaps youre missing something..

dark-beam In reply to Aexion [2011-04-27 09:14:44 +0000 UTC]

Will do, but it is impossible that I forgot to assign some variables as you said because in assembly everything you don't save occupies the memory and after a second you see a black screen

More, the formulas are almost identical for x, y, z, w and I only copied/pasted modifying addresses. The only remaining possibility is that I made a sign mistake, but in this case the overall shape should not look so similar to yours

Ah! I can't normally do an initialization, but I can add a preamble that does it. Anyway, if I subtract C at 1st iter (like I have done in 2nd example) every variable is = 0, and C contains x,y,z (Cw is zero)

Check the thread again..theres something new:

Aexion In reply to dark-beam [2011-04-27 11:05:56 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. most probably my reuse of the system variables is why you can't get on the formula..
Just look at Syntopia GLSL code..the intro variable is p, but the iteration is w..

Oh.. and be sure to check the signs.. Signs are important: they look small, but for example, a mistake of them in your bank account, can cause you a heart attack

I finally got why you didn't get the same results on the quadray mandelbrot: you must init the 4D x,y,z,w to 0 or to ctx, cty, ctz and ctw...
As for the quadray mandelbox, use a 4D delta..the result is very interesting:[link]

I didnt got the same results as you because I dont know how to use M3D (i selected the quadraybrot on the menu, but it didnt looks like the original set!)
