Taken at my friend's property a few weeks back. The glow is from Kilauea Town in the bg. 30s exposure to capture the sky. Exif embedded!Much thanks for the c/c!

This is such a great shot! I've been interested in doing this for a while. If you get a chance, are there any tips you could share? I see it's a 30 sec. exposure, but what about aperture, iso etc.? If you could get back to me, I would really really appreciate it, but it's no big deal if you can't. Thanks, and again, this is absolutely beautiful!

I was surprised when I read 30s exposure, that's amazing. Especially without blowing out that green strip-which overall really adds to the photo, although I would've liked it better without the darker green thing in the left bit above the grass strip. It's a bit distracting.
Overall, this photo is stunning.

darker green you mean the tree line? I have a 8x12 print that looks pretty sweet though. Glad you like!

I think you're just referring to the silhouette of the tree line? And no prints dont do the photo justice...but am getting closer to getting a solid process/medium down to be happy with
