I passed the 100 watchers mark a while back, so I guess this is kind of a thank-you for that?? Although I admit it is entirely self-indulgent because I have had the itch to draw EriKar for like. A WEEK now, thanks to my buddy who was SUPPOSED to be helping me with my FIC, but NOOOO she had to give me EriKar feels. DAMN YOU, WOMAN.So anyway, I REALLY LOVE Karkat and Eridan's relationship. Pre-homicidal rampage, a course. Karkat is really mellow with Eridan in comparison to many others (in stark contrast to the way he is with Sollux, especially) and Eridan offers to lend him an ear at one point, which I just found really spontaneously.... thoughtful, for Eridan in particular, at that point. He really wasn't looking for anything, and Karkat always listened to him when he was feeling down, so it just seemed really genuine and adorable to me. Especially after Eridan had mostly been left to his own devices on Wrath and Angels, where he'd been a real dickhole in the worst way and hadn't taken anyone's advice, but I think he still had reason to be distressed and upset with people?? But instead of lashing out, he extends a hand to Karkat. Who proceeded to bite it, like Karkat is wont to. But they seem to kind of look out for each other and be pretty supportive, on the whole, and it seemed like they'd been that way in the past. I suppose that might be in large part due to Eridan suspecting Karkat of being a mid- or highblood, but. I dunno. I really want to explore their relationship more. (psst, if anyone has any fic recs, let me know! I've read Lost Teeth already, of course.)

hmm. I guess I've just kind of adopted moirallegiance-esque relationships (and the rest of the quadrants) into how I think of relationships in general? Like a reallyreally close, kinda romantic friendship with lots of cuddles and talking things out but no sexual component. I mean, people have that all the time, I think. Not in the there's-only-one-for-me kinda way that moirails is supposed to be, I guess, but I just use the term to describe that kind of uber close friendship because it's easier than writing all that out. BUT YES OT4 with kids ESPECIALLY THE ALPHAS is always good<333 I reallyreally love DirkRoxy and DirkJane moirail-esuqe-friendships, they're so great<333 but yes SHIP EVERYTHING

But hmmm... never thought of that before! :0 I have cuddles with my friend all the time... I never thought of being in a moirallegiance with her, but I guess it fits! XD But I like OT4's with all the betas, all the alphas, all the boys, or john jade jake jane. Don't really like visa versa for some reason though. XD

hahaha! Yeah I ship the alphas as an OT4, for sure. I ship the betas more as like. Super moirails for each other?? esp Karkat's shipping chart pairs, with Rose being kind of a go-to talk-it-out person for John, and Jade for Dave. (as is obvious in my fic, hahaha) I guess I ship them all red, too. Of course when I say pale and red, I just mean that type of relationship, not necessarily fitting exactly into the troll definitions of the quadrants.
For the alphas.... I LOVE Dirk<>Roxy. and also unrequited Roxy<3/<>Dirk, 'cause Dirk is in love with Jake. But one <3s-all-around alpha party is also a+ in my book, hahaha. I DUNNO I guess I really do ship everything.

I can't seem to stand shipping red jadeXdave and roseXjohn, but that's probably just me. ._. Although unrequited jadeXdave with daveXjohn is really fun. >:3 Unrequited roxy<3/<>dirk seems fun, although I haven't seen any fics for it. And sorry for the hurried response, I typed out a whole bucketload of text(heh... bucket) and then my computer crashed.

hmm..... Sometimes when I ship johnkat, I like to ship davejade, because dave and jade have a similar dynamic as dave and john? Jade is the cheerful and dorky counterbalance to Dave's coolkid. And while they're not the same by any means, I think both are good matches for Dave. They can humor him and banter with him without letting him get too carried away. Although I'm not sure how much of that is because of GVGH, haha. i haven't actually read much davejade.
As for JohnRose... I also have some trouble shipping them red, because I think they're too... serious? I feel like the best thing Rose can do for John is to step back and let him work things out, but if they were romantically involved I'm not sure she could do that? I like the equal footing she has with, like. Kanaya or Sollux or... a lot of the other characters, I feel like she and John are kind of. unbalanced. And much better suited as moirails. But I've seen it done really well, too! and you're DEF NOT THE ONLY ONE that doesn't like those pairings, there are a lot. esp all the davejohn and johnkat shippers, which there are a LOT of. And rosekanaya. ;u;
oh man, unrequited dave<3jade breaks my heart.... although I always interpret it as unrequited on Dave's part, I can't really see Jade liking Dave first??? haha. Any unrequited Dave feelings just makes me too sad. AND YEAH DirkRoxy is great fun all around, I'm really starting to get into it, hehe.
I really liked pb&j before, and I still think they're really precious!! But i've seen them done really badly, lmfao. I haven't been shipping it as hard lately. I sometimes think Dave can bring out Tav's badassity better than Gamz can, that GamTav is too... sappy?? Or people do it really out of character?? lol i'm not really sure why it bothers me sometimes. And lately I've been looking for more GamzSol because of brainbent......... I definitely ship pbj, though, for sure!!

Hmm. Never seen DaveTav before! XD Interesting pairing though. For me, it would be like... Shipping sollux and john (although that's not TOO bad actually, could be worse). And for me... I feel like jade is misjudged a lot. People seem to think she's always happy and bubbly... but whenever people think about that, I remember jade calling karkat "fuckass." XD And what's GVGH?

oh, really?? There's a lot of great DaveTav fics! Specifically The Irony of Bubblemates, you should DEF look that one up on AO3, it's what first got me into the pairing.
Well... I think Jade is extremely positive and strong-willed! So she doesn't get down very easily. People sometimes characterize that as shallow and airheaded, which isn't what I meant at all. I think she's actually very tough and headstrong, which is why she stands up to Karkat! I think she's actually stronger and more upbeat than John. But they still have a lot of similarities. That's all I meant.
OH MAN you need to read GVGH - General Vantas Gets Hitched. It's an AMAZING fic by JumpingJackTrash, although it's on a bit of a hiatus right now. But it's one of the best JohnKat fics I've ever read. Hell, one of the best fics I've ever read, period. It's really really great. =u=

YEAH GVGH is one of my all-time faaaavorite fics. =u= you totally should look up DaveTav, too! There are some really cute ones. Although i think there are a lot of really OOC ones, too.... but Irony is great, and there was another one I read where Dave was a DJ and Tav was his assistant, and that one was pretty good, too. I forget the name, though... :/
Oh gosh, no, Dave has SO MANY feelings, haha. Anyone who characterizes him with no feelings isn't looking very hard at all! He just tries to hide his feelings. I think Dave might have the most feelings out of anyone, except maybe Karkat. But Karkat is no good at hiding them, haha. And YEAH that's exactly why I love Hussie's characters, they're sooo dynamic and multifaceted. There's always new things to learn about them. ;v;

Hmm, do you ever listen to panic at the disco? It's a REALLY good band, although I would understand if it's not your taste. XD If you like it, "but it's better if you do" is a great song. And That fic WAS amazing, can you recommend some other johnkat/karjohn fics? And yes, I WILL look up davetav. XD I just am forgetting for some reason every time I come home...

HELL YEAH I can recommend more JohnKat. Boyfriendleaders isn't a fic, but that would be my first thought - it's an... "askblog"? with a plot. Run by fivetail, who is apeshit bananas at writing. She's also written some fics on AO3, so you can look her up. Then there's Hurricane , by JumpingJackTrash, who did GVGH, and is one of my favorite authors ever. OH ALSO there's this new AU that juuust started, Real Men Wear Tights! You should read that one, for sure, it's AMAZING. And there was a TON of thought put into the worldbuilding, and a whole tumblr for it, too!
I found a short one a while ago that was cute [link] and this is a sfw classic [link] . This [link] is another classic by a really great writer. And this [link] is another sfw one that i really love. Haha I might have more but I think that's probably enough for now! ;u; Most of them are from my bookmarks on AO3, which I think are public?? so you can always poke through there if you want.
