Thanks.

Well, the flooding is not apparent in this photo.
We had a bit of flooding from sustained rains in the northeast of the USA the last week. Nothing impressive enough to be telling someone from another country about. Here's a local TV station's WWW page about it though:

I asked because I heard something about flooding in US in the news. This year's weather predictions are not good, and after the last year's disasters, I got a little worried about u.

Assuming you're thinking of the New Orleans disgrace last year, that was a disaster waiting to happen for a long, long time. It was completely avoidable, and the result of human stupidity and government corruption.

I am in a significantly better (i.e. higher) position, and half the country would have to be under water before I needed to worry about myself. Thanks for the concern, though. :

That's good to know
New Orleans...an avoidable tragedy...the worst part (apart from the lack of prevention, of course), was the slow response of the goverment and the violence after that. Here in Mexico, we've had many problems like New Orleans in the last, 10 years?, but people never reacts violently. And the goverment is so used to those natural disasters that responses inmediately. The sad part is that all those disasters could have been prevented...
