Description This one was a lot of trouble, from two failed renders to many crashes, I think it had to do with the grass ecosystem. but i still like it a lot.

Very nice composition, the clouds look so real! Yeah, large ecosystem populations can be very tough; when I populate, Vue asks at least 3 times during a population if I wanna continue bcuz it consumes too much memory ...though last time it crashed and ran out of memory because I forgot to disable displacement on a somewhat large terrain
What render settings did you use?

thank you very much, for this I did not do much with the settings, I just used the final render setting. But did some post work with it in photoshop after it was rendered. I used the burn tool to darken up the clouds.

yeah, I thought you used Final settings, since the trees look a bit grainy. ...still it's a nice image

Ari--*soo smiling*..I absolutely love everthing about this one. The colors..even the bark on the trees..and the red poppies..those are poppies, aren't they? *grin* I'm gonna call them poppies anyway.
The only dilemma I have is that I want to make it my desktop background..but I just can't give up my "moonlight swing"..lol..I had my finger on the button..but I can't do it!..hehe..But I love it, just the same.

Nice work.. Vue makes some nice really nice landscapes but it's not very dependable. As long as you keep it kind of simple your usually ok.. At least for me, and I've got a pretty good setup, I think..Bryce rarely crashes but with Vue it does it all the time...

AfterDeath In reply to relhom [2009-09-28 19:54:44 +0000 UTC]

Thank you

I agree, vue 7 has been much better for me then the other versions I have had, but still gives me problems. From freezing my computer for 30sec at a time to just crashing. I know I have really been pushing it with huge amounts of polygons. but it gets frustrating, because I have some cool ideas but my computer cant handle it.

thanks, it did give my computer a lot of trouble, I think I might have put to much blades of grass on the screen at one time. but I think the effect in the end looked very good.
