This is probably my favorite Brittana drawing you've done. I love the tone you get from it and all the "feelings."

I love the way you handle colors to bring out amazing moods in your illustrations! They´re always spot on!

Maybe I've saturated it a bit more than I had to, that orange/red it's killing me softly...
The only thing I'm proud of is that I, for once, drew almost-realistic hands! :yay:

I think that orange/red fits the mood of the illust well!
Hands and feet are usually difficult parts of the body to get right, many artists struggle with them, me included! hehe but I haven´t noticed you having too much problem with hands, oh, and btw, I really like the way you draw and color hair!

Hahaah really? Black hair is the easiest to draw for me, because I don't have to draw one strand by one unlike other colors (if your lineart is black obv.). Shading and lighting is fun, anyways!

I think I've messed hands less than usual. Unlike most artists, as you said above, I tend to sketch hands (most of times wrongly) and don't take the time to draw it properly Hands and feet are like.. my Achilles' heel per excellence (among other stuffs I can't draw, like animals)!

BTW This Sunday and yesterday I drew what I thought I could never do okay, I engaged in Mechanics! If you want to take a look check my last three deviations (probably I'll upload another one today)

Yeah, sometimes black hair can be easy if you don´t get into too much detail
hands and feet have always been like the most complicated parts of the body because of all the motion they´re capable of and their sometimes complex shape, but nothing that practice can´t take care of!
and yeah, some animals are quite hard to draw, I´ve heard horses are amongst the hardest and also favourites by artists and people in general.
I´m on my way to check your new Devs out!

Yeah, hands do
I don't really like to practice, so I often find myself in troubles. When that happens, I look for a reference and practice with it (I don't put the layer of the picture at the bottom and retrace what I need -like I did before and many artists do at the moment-, but simply put it next to the drawing and try to be as much meticulous as possible).

I don't think using a reference to draw is bad (after all when we draw something is because we have a mental ref of what we want to draw, so it's all about references! xD), but I think that copying the WHOLE thing from a picture is not.. really right (unless we have to practice with it. It would be cool to credit the reference, then).

I've never tried to draw a horse, but yes, they're a recurring subject here (and out) on DA xD

Feel free to check it when you want, really, is not a duty!

There´s nothing wrong with using references, it´s even encouraged by many pro artists to art students! and yeah, is just like you say, we´re always using references even if they´re from all the things we see in our day to day life! How could someone draw a car if that someone has never seen one? hehe
I also believe there´s right ways to do it and wrong or bad ways....like people who would basically trace some other artist's work (without giving any credit to the original artist), that´s just plain wrong!
Personally, I like drawing animals that look menacing or savage like some felines and wolves, I don´t really like to draw cute looking animals (even tho I´ve had to do it some times hehe) and I also thing "Anthros" are fun to do
and don´t worry, I know is not a duty but it´s most certainly always a pleasure to do it!

Exactly!

Yeah, with my surprise, it has happened to me once: Somebody took one of my drawings as reference and retraced EVERYTHING from it. I've been told about this and wow.. I've never thought that my works could be used as ref LOL More than get angry, that made me laugh because it was a work full of mistakes.
Oh, Anthros, yeah! I remember that when I was a kid I tended to draw my cats as "persons" (anthros, so to speak). I think I have something saved somewhere in some old box...
Thank you you're too kind!

Well, it has never happened to me but I guess it should be a weird feeling.....it could make you angry and also feel flatter at the same time! LoL
I did a commish a while back, all pencil, 5 anthro characters.....now that I remember, I think I should upload them to my gallery! hehe

I´ll upload it soon today!
