Serenity. Such a simple word; yet for all of its simplicity, it's almost disheartening to consider how easily it slips into oblivion or is violently disrupted. However, in this moment in time, serenity is the only thing that surrounds my being. Inhale, and exhale. I slowly close my eyes as I begin to clear my mind of everything and anything. Inhale, exhale. A faint scent of sakura blossoms grace my innate sense of smell as the fluttering petals drift by on a subtle breeze. I sigh softly to myself as I begin to relax upon my perch high atop a mountain on a frigid, foggy morning. Not even the birds grace me with their charming and charismatic choirs of communication. However, I can't really blame them, after all, I doubt those fragile winged beasts could survive the shift in atmosphere.

Inhale, exhale.

The silence is almost unnerving. With the environment I am usually forced to dwell in, I would often imagine such solitude impossible. At last, I can finally feel at peace. Delving into my natural element, I summon a gentle gale, the invisible force of nature surrounding my being with a swift grace otherwise impossible to achieve in the human world. Softer than any woman could hope to match, the shifting air current caresses the exposed skin of my torso before filtering through my rigid dreadlocks. My loose bangs tickle the taut skin of my face, thus prompting me to open my eyes, revealing radiant sapphire hues underneath, a hint of violet dancing among the azure.

Daybreak. The first rays of sunshine have finally decided to grace me with its radiant energy. I stiffen my back slightly as the light breeze I previously summoned dissipates into the atmosphere. My expression remains blank as countless pink pedals rain upon me from a nearby sakura tree. I sigh heavily as I stand onto my feet. However, as I mentioned before, serenity is often interrupted prematurely. And surly enough, countless heartless appear before me, sharpened fangs dripping with a viscous obsidian liquid. I merely scoff as I tilt my head; the vertebrae in my neck eliciting sharp cracking noises as I manually realign them.

Slowly, yet eloquently, I shift into a defensive position, my fingers curled loosely as I narrow my eyes, venomously glaring upon the crooked smiles of my adversaries. Quivering from excitement, one brave heartless attacks first, it's razor-sharp claws extended and raring to slice into my flesh. Inhale...exhale...strike! Grunting sharply, I quickly thrust my right hand out, utilizing my element to summon a massive gust of wind from my flexed palm. The current slams full force into the beast’s body, flinging it back into a far wall of the small temple. Screeching in a combined chorus of anguish, the other members of the heartless battalion surge forward. Sighing sharply, I crouch low before calling upon my element once more to catapult me toward the heavens. While in the lofty atmosphere, I summon two furious tornados, the obsidian and ivory funnels of rage twirling elegantly around my body, my dreadlocks lashing about in a furious dance of their own. Chanting a quick incantation, I summon my infamous weapons: dragoon spears. For this congregation, two is more than enough.

A confident smirk curls my lips as the winged beasts ascent toward my altitude, shrieking and crying insults in their primitive language. Tightly clenching my fingers around the lavender poles, I twist my torso, my seized blades obediently complying as their sharpened blades tear through waves of flying foes. I quickly halt my furious rotations before angling my body down toward the ground. Grunting sharply, I thrust my palms at the stone temple floor. A typhoon of wind assaults the ground, softening my landing and catapulting a vast number of my adversaries over the temple walls. The very few that did remain, however, instantly surged toward me. Twirling the two spears in my hands, I quickly join them, creating a massive staff afterward. In a unified collaboration, the heartless leapt at me in a single bound. My confident smirk quickly grew into a toothy grin of exhilaration. Flexing and contorting my rippling muscles, I engage in an elegant dance of death with the damned beings of the darkness. I expertly twirled the bladed dragoon in my hands as my body maneuvered into various positions and postures as I dodged and struck.

This elegant exchange of choreography continued long into the morning until at last there was only one left. It panted furiously before snarling and surging toward me. I shook my head in a mock pity before twirling the staff rapidly in my hands. Summoning my element in random fragments, a swift wind spout soon formed around my rigid being. For the slightest of moments, time seemed to slow as the creature launched its body at mine. Gritting my teeth, I latched both hands onto the body of my staff before forcefully separating the two spears, unleashing a savage cry as well. The result was a massive shock wave that unleashed the furry of the tornado spiraling previously around my being. Within a second’s existence, the pent up energy was released, thus obliterating any trace of the heartless.

Panting softly, I regained my composure before straightening my back. My expression softened slightly as I lifted my hands, the two dragoon spears quickly dissipating into a gentle breeze, which caressed the tense flesh of my hands afterward. Sighing heavily, I briskly pace over to where I neatly folded my infamous Organization cloak and quickly slip the leather over my shoulders. Moments following my dressing, a gentle breeze caresses my face once more before weaving through my thick locks. I quickly return to my original spot of meditation before turning to face the source of the heavenly wind. A subtle smile curls my lips as I fold my hands together and bow deeply. Serenity has once again reclaimed the mountaintop.
