After Mal’s accidental trip through a crack in the fabric of spacetime on her way to work, she gets unceremoniously dumped into the interdimensional city known as The Traverse. She spends the better part of a day lost as hell before she meets Cyros, who’s been assigned to investigate the source of the tempo-spatial anomaly. He takes her to Wandersong Company HQ to help her get her bearings, and she meets the wider cast of characters, including Alain Shaw, a researcher specializing in transdimensional displacements such as herself!
