i always smudge whenever i use color pencils. do you put a piece of paper underneath your hands when you color? cause that helps.

i don't smudge. i blend colors against colors just like painting. it's a little hard to describe how i do it unless i show a demonstration live.

XD ok i get it. i don't use a paper underneath my hands (maybe i should). i actually have to blow away the little bits of colors so i would prevent any smudges. u can still see little dots of color on the white area. even with a good eraser can't make them disappear.

I've found out that making a photo of the piece, whit tre right light, mainteins better colors. But distorces a little the figures

ahh... i can never color that well with colored pencils. it always turns out messy and incomplete. do you use prismas?

yeah. with prismas i can get dat pastel-like blending of colors.
