Been awhile since we had a new OC... Inspiration struck and, well....

It’s been said that bullies are coming from a place of insecurity and inadequacy when they are mean or horrible to others. It’s been said by others that this is bollocks. Most bullies have perfectly good self-esteem and self-worth, they just get their kicks out of seeing others suffer. And if getting those kicks means they need to be the ones who inflict the suffering, then so be it.

Vixen has two older brothers. The amount of teasing or tormenting they did to their younger sister was not atypical, but as soon as Vixen was able to sort things herself, she started repaying both brothers plus the rest of the world with interest and discovered that this was quite fun to do. Both brother’s keep their hair cut very short, and we’re going to find out more about the why and how of that shortly.

Vixen is the leader of the TCs in her senior year, quite literally the head “mean girl” of her clique. The rest of the school almost breathes a sigh of relief when she graduates and heads off to college. A new environment, a new crowd, a new set of sources for amusement, for kicks Vixen bumps into the other student, knocking their books to the ground. The affected party turns, initially surprised, then angry when she sees the smug smirk on Vixen’s face. The open hand is fast and sharp to the side of Vixen’s face. This victim is less of a pushover it seems.

Vixen’s books are flying now also. Not from the impact of the slap, rather from the speed with which her hands are moving in response. Vixen’s left hand grabs her opponent by the hair, her right hand makes the fist, and with a speed and fury that would make any enforcer in the NHL proud, starts throwing the right hand. When she was younger this was obviously a source of poor outcomes for her brothers, but not too bad. When she learned how to plant her feet and pivot through her legs and hips, that was a different story altogether. Short hair means Vixen must grab your shirt instead. If she gets you by the hair and can fully control your head, that means those right hands are going to connect with full power. A slap may surprise you, and it may sting. A fingernail can hurt you and possibly even leave a scar, but neither is a reliable way to stop someone cold. On the other hand, begging pardon for the pun, Vixen’s right will not just ring your bell, it may even break it. The kick to the head when her opponent is down is just hopelessly too much.

Expulsion follows almost immediately, as does a police investigation, as do criminal charges, as does conviction, a brief stint in detention (First offence? If only they knew…), followed by an extended period of parole and supervision.

For the first time in her life, Vixen’s self-esteem and self-worth are not doing so well. Adrift and at a loss what else to do it’s menial jobs to pay rent and stay out of trouble to maintain her parole, which quickly turns into a drudge of wake, work, sleep, rinse and repeat. One night after eating a lousy microwave dinner that was purchased on sale with the expiry date imminent, she’s surfing the web on her cheap laptop when she comes across something on YouTube. Her interest piqued, she searches further and finds more, some of it on it’s own page dedicated to what she saw the first time.

Mixed martial arts and professional wrestling, featuring women in violent competition with each other, and suddenly Vixen is feeling a new sense of purpose and goal. After more viewing and consideration… MMA is too restrictive for Vixen. She wants to stomp on people when they’re down and she wants to grab them by the hair to get leverage. Knowing what she needs to do next, Vixen finds a local school. Her parole officer is more than a little bemused, but this is not brawling on the street. This is a sanctioned activity where everyone who gets into the ring knows what they’ve signed up for. It's thin hair, but the parole officer decides it is allowed.

Vixen finished her parole some time ago. Her style is still very much about the brawl and the beat down. Maybe the occasional submission hold if she wants to hear someone crying in pain, but mostly she just wants to beat you flat.

And the more the crowd roars its anger and fury and disapproval over the way Vixen goes about getting what she wants? Vixen finds joy in the suffering of others. Your anger and fury, your rage and your disappointment… Vixen is finding her new pastime most rewarding indeed.
