Omg, I’m so glad that this huge project is finished, the hours I’ve spent on making this will remain between me and my pc. This is my part of the AT I did with the lovely Triskata. I really wanted to draw Bella and Raquelle together so we started brainstorming possible ideas. Figuring out what we wanted and what would work did take a bit of time but I think we managed to come up with something great on both sides. Triskata would draw our OC’s in their civilian lives and I would draw our OC's in their hero lives.

I came up with this idea while I was trying to fall asleep. To say that I was excited about it is an understatement. Triskata and I went over it and made some small changes to the story to make it work and then I could get started drawing and at that point, I completely lost control and went all out. I decided to focus on the second to last part of the story, but who knows maybe one day there’ll be another AT and I can draw the ending. Also, there is a specific scene that will not be included in the story as I think I’ll keep it for something else 😊 it’s when they find out that Bella has a bounty on her head.

Initially, the story was a bit different and the roles were reversed as it was Bella who swung her sword to save Raquelle. However, since Bella doesn’t kill anymore we couldn’t go with the concept of her doing the deed. Raquelle, on the other hand, has no issue doing the dirty work when provoked and even though Bella doesn’t kill anymore she wouldn’t necessarily stop Raquelle from doing it.

Okay, so this alternative story takes place just after the end of season 4 as both girls are sent on a mission together in space. They’re nicknamed the Doom Squad by their teammates who knew that they would probably try to kill each other (figuratively speaking) as they have very opposing personalities and they don’t really know each other (it’s actually the first mission they go on together). It didn’t take long for them to start bickering, getting on each other’s nerves and pissing each other off (sometimes on purpose) during their flight on the Javelin and their stay on an alien world that asked for their help (well the Justice League’s help). It’s safe to say that both girls couldn’t wait for this mission to be over and go back home. On said particular planet Bella was spotted and since there is almost a universal hate in the galaxy towards Lathoids it’s not uncommon for bounties to be put on their heads.

The bounty put on Bella’s head is picked up by a bounty hunter called Thagar who is of the same alien species as the former warlord Despero. Thagar is fierce and ruthless and has a record of wreaking as much havoc and destruction as he can. He’s not only in the bounty-hunting business for money but also for sport and he demonstrates a strong craving for battle.

Both girls are unaware of this development and are ambushed when they’re getting ready to leave on the Javelin to go back home. Thagar possesses immense strength and endurance and is superior to both young heroines, forcing them to retreat. As they’re both on the run whilst getting hunted, or at least Bella is getting hunted, Raquelle would be considered a sport, they enter an alien forest to try and lead Thagar away from them. They manage to hide and get a breather and hope to get the upper hand on him and his newly joined crew. Unbeknownst to them (the bounty hunters) they soon catch up with them and Thagar is furious at the thought of losing his bounty/prey.

Whilst both girls are hiding this is where their different personalities shine through again, Bella would want to use this to their advantage and ambush them while Raquelle would stay hidden, wait and figure out a plan (most likely taking them down one at a time or when they’re paired off in smaller groups). Bella has no ear for authority that she doesn't respect and went through with her plan causing Raquelle to reflexively pull her back to stay hidden. This interaction caused them to be spotted, eventually defeated and captured.

When they wake up they’re both chained to each other and in a holding cell and blame each other for what happened. Not soon after Bella gets dragged away, interrogated and tortured. She (Bella) however doesn’t give in, as she is practically immune to such tactics because of the way she was brought up. Although she can’t see what’s going on, hearing the sounds made it very clear and causes Raquelle to worry greatly for Bella. The girls’ advantage is that Raquelle isn’t in their database and they don’t know anything about her.

When they dragged Bella back to and threw her into their holding cell the alien guard noticed that Raquelle was missing. Unbeknownst to him the hunter was now being the hunted and when he stepped foot into the cell is when he signed his life away. Appearing what seemed out of nowhere Raquelle breaks his neck. As his body fell to the ground a shocked Bella looked up. She wasn’t shocked because of the act, but because of who committed the act and at that point realized they know nothing about each other.

Now free from their chains they have to beat their way out of Thagar’s ship before it reaches space. They take down the majority of his crew before they’re once again confronted with Thagar and manage to beat him whilst working together.

It was only natural and inevitable for both girls to bicker and drive each other crazy due to their clashing personalities. Raquelle is a very authoritative figure, who can be bossy and doesn’t like to get questioned when she tells you what to do, while Bella has no ear for and challenges such authority and can get a bit reckless when angry. Bella would oppose Raquelle at every turn, which would make Raquelle go nuts. The moral is that instead of focusing on their differences they had to focus on what they have in common. Raquelle had to learn to trust and give Bella more space to act freely, while Bella had to learn to listen and sometimes do as she was told even though she had a different opinion. They had to let go of their stubbornness instead of letting it get the better of them. They learned all of this during their fight against the bounty hunters on Thagar’s ship and this explains why they had such success taking them down. Neither party knew anything about the other or what they went through and their little adventure made them get to know and respect the other better. Their personalities and flaws didn’t change but the experience gave them more perspective and flexibility for the future.

I have to admit that this isn’t the first or only major/huge project I’m working on (I have multiple in the works for over 2 years now) however it’s the first major/huge project I managed to finish and I’m really proud of myself! So in the future you can expect more of these major/huge projects, let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later.

Thinking he was down, Thagar took advantage of that thought and fired a shot aimed at Raquelle. Without hesitation, Bella ran towards her yelling “WATCH OUT!” and pushed her as hard as she could and took the hit of the full blast. Both girls swung to either side of the hangar bay.

Dead or alive it didn’t matter to him, no bounty was worth the chaos and destruction these two have caused. He walked over to Bella’s unconscious body and pulled her up by her jacket, causing it to rip even more. Hanging there he slowly grabbed her head, he was thinking through whether it would make a nice decoration mounted on his wall or if he should just crush her head with his hand.

On the other side of the hangar bay Raquelle got up, “that hurt” she thought and she had trouble seeing things clearly for a second. However, when she looked up and saw what was about to happen there was no time to waste. “Now that I will not allow,” she thought. Turning around she saw Bella’s sword, picked it up and jumped high in the air towards them. Thagar could only turn his head and widen his eyes, with the speed she was coming at nothing more could be done. It was over in an eyeblink, he let go and Bella’s unconscious body fell to the ground. Then Thagar, or what remained of him, fell to his knees before the weight of his body kicked in and his headless body hit the ground.
