Initially cocky, oblivious, childish and arrogant, Ben’s immaturity and attention-seeking behaviour often led him to joke around regardless of the situation. He often got criticized for this attitude by others who were unaware of the fact that he used humour to mask his fears. Despite some childish attitudes he is heroic, caring, resourceful and generally good-natured, always willing to save others at any time.

Over the years Ben, now known as Ben 10,000 became strict, cynical and serious about the hero business. He is obsessive, rarely turns back into his human form and spends most of his time as XLR8, skimming his patrol routes to brutalize criminals as quickly as he can. Ben 10,000 cut out everybody who he deemed a distraction from what really mattered to him, his work and isolated himself. Ben displays good leadership skills and has the ability to adapt his attitude to a situation. He is mature, responsible, overprotective and unwilling to compromise his values, but can’t escape his arrogance or cockiness at times. However deep down he is more light-hearted, sensible, caring, nostalgic and has a teasing-side. Even now he is still willing to sacrifice his own life for others.

After Doomsday Ben is traumatized and suffers from PTSD, his reluctance to open up about it makes it worse in time.

Nearing his thirties he started to lighten up and at the age of 30 he starts naming his aliens again. Despite being more light-hearted and relaxed, Ben has a ferocious temper, his reverts to his more aggressive and grim personage reveals his trauma and fear when he fails to save someone or if someone gets hurt because of his failures.

BIO

Benjamin ‘Ben’ Tennyson is a human, former Plumber and paternal cousin of Gwen Tennyson. When Ben was 10 years old he went on a road trip with his grandfather and cousin Gwen. When Ben goes stomping off into the woods after another fight with Gwen he discovers a mysterious watch-like device called the Omnitrix. The Omnitrix permanently attached itself to his wrist and gives him the ability to transform into a numerous variety of alien life-forms, each with their own unique powers and abilities. Ben realizes he has a responsibility to help and save others with his new abilities, but he is not above mischief. Although he and Gwen constantly argued about him misusing the watch or her powers, they do care for each other.

Ben used to be cocky and happy until he was 20 years old when Vilgax invaded, after Doomsday Ben changed drastically. He became strict, cynical and serious about the hero business. He even went as far to cutting out everybody of his life who he deemed a distraction and isolated himself, only focussing on work. Gwendolyn is worried about him and tries to get through to him, but as time goes by she gets annoyed at Ben for his lack of caring.

Ben became a Plumber after Doomsday. The Plumbers are a secret government organization that are recognized by all governments of Earth, who protects the general public from alien treats. The Plumbers wear armored suits as their standard uniform. It is later revealed that the Plumbers are an inter-planetary law enforcement force, with both human and alien members. Just like any Plumber Ben possesses a Plumber badge, these Plumber badges bear the intergalactic peace symbol. Plumbers who have inter-bred with humans, give their hybrid-offspring a Plumber badge to prevent them from being wrongly arrested by other Plumbers for interplanetary trespass. He however quit after two years, finding the Plumbers too restrictive for his goals.

After the Vilgax tragedy the Plumbers and Ben are outed to the world and decide to stay public. The new Plumbers headquarters was launched into space. While Ben goes solo and creates his own headquarters, Gwendolyn forms a team with her grandfather Max and her boyfriend Kevin.

In 2024 the president of the United Species Federation, Zur’el, visits Earth at the UN headquarters based in New York. For this special event leaders and diplomats from all over the world are present. This important event is cut short duo bounty hunters placing an electromagnetic pulse. This electromagnetic pulse uses a super-powerful microwave oven to generate a concentrated beam of energy. This energy causes voltage surges in electronic equipment, rendering them useless before surge protectors have the chance to react. No communications, no Techadon Robots, no way out.

Drax a bounty hunter (later revealed to be from the Chimera Sui Generis species) carelessly walks through the hallways in the UN building, not at all hindered by the police and military that tries to stop him from getting to the present leaders and diplomats.
