Description anders spends years giving the big-brotherly shovel talk to anyone who looks twice at little amell in the circle, so of course she returns the favor!!!

(i normally don't draw mhawke but this was dedicated to someone on tumblr who prefers him, so)

[reblog on tumblr ]

can't believe i have to add this disclaimer in literally every fucking anders fanart i draw, but: pretend your mother taught you some fucking manners and keep your character negativity to your fucking self.

I love how Hawke's reaction is once again, to snark it up in the face of an angry person.

Now their family in more then just their actions/expressions. But Hawke can't forget cats, Anders needs his daily dose of cuddly kittens + Anders and kittens is just a tier below Merrill and kittens in adorableness.

Is Amell also lecturing Justice? Cause Justice is also there to take care of Anders (though they probably take care of each other, with Anders keeping Justice calm when he gets to angry at injustices--Hawke also helps with that when Justice gets to out of hand for Anders). Also gender fluid Hawke? Crossing my fingers that I've managed to find another with the headcannon.

Haha Amell is friends with Justice from before too, so she knows they're taking care of each other, and she supports them both. And Hawke will be there to get angry at injustices with them, of course. This is a very actively pro-revolution collection of mages.

I actually play Hawke as exclusively female myself, I just drew male Hawke in this because it was for a friend who plays Hawke that way. But I've seen some genderfluid Hawkes on tumblr before, so you're certainly not alone.

I prefer to play female Hawke to (and mostly female characters overall), if only because I just find them more attractive and I like playing characters that I'll like looking at; but that can't stop me from having my headcannons (only have two though, that being genderfluid Hawke and the ot5  ) . Inquisition was actually the first game that I played a male first (though that's just because I wanted to give into my urge to make a self-insert xD).

But yeah Justice comes off to me as a bit hotheaded/rash when it comes to injustices, because while I agree with him about the mages, the blowing up of the Chantry only served to help the Chantry by allowing them to be able to point at Anders/Justice (mage/"abomination") and "confirm" to the masses that mages are "bad/evil" people. Which just increases the fear. So as a player I disagree with the action, but my Hawke always approves (mostly because I'm a meta-gaming fuck that knows, but also Hawke doesn't so yeah).

I strongly disagree that finally taking definitive action after seven years of nonviolent protesting (smuggling mages to freedom, writing his manifesto, apparently even speaking directly to Elthina) in the face of explicit abuse is "rash." He tries to find peaceful ways of changing minds and exposing the injustices every single time it comes up, over the course of the entire game. Right up to the point where he's asking Hawke to distract Elthina while he arranges the exposives, he asks Hawke to try one last time to convince her to understand what her "neutrality" has allowed to happen. One templar in the Gallows has an idle-click line in Act III that specifically says Meredith has already sent for permission to perform the Rite of Annulment and it's only a matter of time. Anders was absolutely valid in forcing the fight onto the public platform by involving the whole city rather than wait for everyone to wake up one morning only to learn that the entire population of the Gallows had been slaughtered overnight. How the public perceives that act is always going to be colored by the socially-forced perspective of "mages are bad" anyway. There was never going to be a "peaceful" way to fight back.

I see your point and I agree. The whole Mage-Templar-Chantry thing in DA 2 actually just reaffirmed by dislike/distrust of religion and I don't object to the destroying of the Kirkwall Chantry because that place was about as corrupt as you can get if not more so. But I'm also not a hugely violent person + I'm just one of those people that wants everyone happy... And it's actually effected my views of Tevinter, and I approve over their mage academies just not with how they run their government or their system of slavery. Leliana for divine 2k17, that way mages get freedom and the majority can, slowly, learn that magic is no more worse then a sword.

Ah, cousins. I often wonder what a game with playable Amell and Hawks would be like. One chapter or active either one.
