Description
Second one from my Twilight/Mucha project !Esmé from twilight serie by stephenie Meyer.
I've used more "warm" colors in this one, because I wanted to express Esmé sweetness.
The background refers to vampire's love for night ^^.
And the apple symbolizes the status of vampire.
Esmé is really tender with it, because it gives her a husband and childrens she didn't have during her "real" life.

Deuxième de ma série mucha/vampires inspirée par les personnages de stephenie meyer.
ici, on a Esmé. J'ai choisi du rouge et des teintes vives pour sa robe afin de retranscrire sa douceur et sa chaleur.
Le fond étoilé fait référence à l'attirance préferentielle des vampires pour la nuit (même si dans le roman ce n'est pas vraiment le cas).
La pomme symbolise le statut de vampire. J'ai voulu qu'esmé soit très douce envers ce "statut" dans la mesure où il lui a permis de combler ses attentes d'humaines. Son statut de vampire lui a permis d'avoir une vraie vie de famille: un mari aimant et tous les enfants qu'elle n'a pa pu avoir du temps de sa vraie vie...

As much as I don't like Twilight, this is a very effective piece, as well as the other three. Esme has such an 'Earth Mother'-y feel in this, I love it.

In fact I've read the three first books really fast and after that, It was like I was awaken from a sort of trance ...that was very strange! I think I don't really like stephenie meyer's style of writing and the fact that everything's turning around Edward and Bella.That's boring at last !
That's a pity that the books are so badly written because I think there was interesting things inside ...I like the story of the members of the cullen family for example and how they became vampires. But that's not enough for making a good book !
So I've drawn this serie while I was reading the books ! I thought the women inside these books were pretty enough to be represented as Mucha's women
I'm really glad you like my art, even more if you don't like Twilight

Her writing is so contradictory, that's the thing. Have you ever read "The Vampire Chronicles" by Anne Rice. It's a very well-written book series, with well-developed characters as well. I highly recommend it.
