Description updated version...

wanted to create a cold world,
where feelings r gone, books and art r banned
the technical development is ruling the world,
there is totalitarian control and people are manipulated by it.

inspired by R. Bradbury (Fahrenheit 451) and G. Orwell (1984) my fav. book of all time...

i love how it feels so sterile and blank. really does make me think of 1984, which is one of the greatest books ever written.

Great high key image. Wonderful use of contrast, the white just seems to flood through the image. Spectacular.

Great use of negative space, and this lighting! It’s so strong but it suits both the situation and the atmosphere very well. Great movement that can be seen... I love it! You say ”wanted to create a cold world,” Well… you succeeded! you created a very cold, as well as very sad and mournful feel! Amazing what a photo can make you feel, eh? This is nice; you put so much emotion to it! Great all in all…

And also!
This grain in the photo, its genius!
I think although many may think differently, the grain adds A LOT!

Brilliant. It all fits together perfectly. I regret not having read Fahrenheit 451 yet, but for the spirit of 1984, it hits the spot 100%. The only regret I have is the lamps are too big for my liking, but this is hardly a fault of the photographer. Anyhow, I'm always baffled at the pictures of yourself, *gilad , and the the rest of the better known photographers at DA. I just don't understand how you do it. It's almost depressing - I cannot depict art this way with my camera, only still life; that's all I ever do, still life.

Still great!

I like how you play with the objects fading into the background colours like black or white. this is a classical shot, very nice. a bit grainy though.

The image is beautiful, but that detracts heavily from your theme. The scene is too artful with its elegant arches and descending lines. Even the figure is dressed sharply. Minimalism and Asceticism are very different things, so while I like the picture a lot, I think it conveys an idea opposite of that which you were trying to portray. A picture of a purely practical space with no adornment, and a similarly-clothed working figure trudging about might have be more convincing. A clean line of very stylistic arches set in hip b/w with an artfully dressed figure...

Really impressive piece both technically and conceptually. The high levels of white really play up a very clean/hermetically sealed lifestyle. The only thing that I think draws away from the 'clean' look is his reflection along the right side, it breaks up the repetition along the walls. Really wonderful work.

Wow, I love the perspective with the arches, and the constrast of light and dark, however, the person is very hard to see against the dark background. He sort of blends in and looks like a blob. Perhaps a person in a different color, shade of gray or something would help him stand out a bit more and create a better focus for the piece.

MfG
Jeste.

Generally speaking, the composition is nice. However, I think that the body of the man is almost invisible due to its black suit and to the black far field. To my opinion the picture would have been better few seconds later but then the point of view should have been a little bit different to keep the picture proportions.
