Commissioned by

Carefully he extracted the subject's blood, and returned her to her cage.
Cautiously he transferred the specimen to the vial.
Slowly he moved toward the tabled.
He trembled, and the vial slipped staining his shirt.
The female who'd "donated" her blood skittered across the room with sudden interest.
He began to shrink.
He began to change.
He spilled the antidote and shrank ever further.
His hands were useless, and his legs gave out under his weight.
Soon he was on her eye level.
Why was she so interested in him?
Oh... That's Why.

This commission was a surprise, and a blast to work on.
I hadn't done much in the way of colored pencils recently, this being only the second time I picked them up since Lostcat's back in the summer.

Nyghault was awesome to work with, and I think the end result turned out awesome. Chemistry-diasters are new territory for me, I tend not to do science-based triggers, but there will be more I'm sure. He actually gave me both a written description and a sketch- alter he finished it before I did, as a prompt for this piece, with different species but identical scenarios. The species he's becoming is a nile monitor. Lizards are cool, people.

Hopefully we'll be working again in the future, thanks again for the commission.
