Description
Amythe was a fairly old Dragon now, having been raised from the time of his hatching by Princess Imyanne. She herself was not as
young as she looked. In fact she was thirty years his senior, and he had lived for well over a century. It was their connection to each
other through the Bonding that had prolonged the lives of both.

Once long ago, she rode upon his shoulders at the base of his neck, and he longed for those days to return, for they had been times
of great joy for them both. But that had been during his First Maturation when he was as big as now, but not as roughly scaled. He
was now well into his Second Maturation, by more than two decades, and his scales in this stage of his life were rough and abrasive.
She could not ride on his shoulders without having her skin scraped raw.

She could see the countless scars of the many battles they had fought together, His wings were tattered from so many things that
had tore at them as he flew in areas too narrow. He had saved her life many times from imminent danger, as she had done the same
for him. She had patched up his battle wounds, and repaired the more horrific tears in his wings to ensure he could still fly. If he
were unable to fly it would soon mean his demise, and she would soon follow.

She had asked him to please find a soft blanket that she could drape across his shoulders so that she could ride him again, but he
was always burning the ones he took before returning home with them. You might think she could use her cape for the purpose, but
its thin material would allow the abrasive scales to cut right through it.

So she has formulated a plan that might work. She would make a basket from reeds found at the base of the pinnacle that is her
Tower's perch, line the inside of it with a bed of green leaves, get inside of it, and have him carry it to where a blanket or two could
be found. As she stands and watches him in flight, she is trying to think of a way to tell him her plan without getting him too excited
and hopeful. He tends to get wreckless when he gets excited, and that would likely hurt their chances of success. And she so
desperately wants to feel the exhileration of riding on his shoulders again.
