Nicholas Fury was born a mutant at the end of the first World War, growing up forever dreaming of joining the army to fight like his Father once did, and he was further pushed towards this dream when his parents found he had a regenerative healing factor. Fury's Father was showing off the pistol he'd been able to keep, and accidentally pulled the trigger, leaving a bullet in his son's arm. However, the bullet was pushed out and the wound healed up before his parents' eyes.

When the Second World War dawned, although America did not join straight away, they still sent some highly trained soldiers into Nazi Germany, then Japan. This team were codenamed the "Howling Commandos", with Nick Fury as the main leader for the team. Over time, they took in new soldiers, replacing those that had died or just rescuing some, like one man who came to be known as James Howlett.

After the War, the newly appointed United Nations put together an agency, originally going by the name SHEEP - the Strategic Hazard Enforcement Espionage Project - which Fury became a part of, but was not the director at that time. Their suits weren't as high-tech and protective as the modern day incarnations, but simple suits.

Fury was appointed in the Weapon X Project, being a mutant himself and once knowing the currently named 'Logan' Howlett. Whilst Fury was part of the team protecting the convoy that took the mutants to the facility, there was a terrorist attack that ended up with the truck Nick was driving in being blown up. The left side of his face, especially around his eye, was severely burnt and blinded him in that eye, which in consequence enhanced his other senses. Logan killed the terrorists with the help of the other mutants being transported to the Weapon X facility, and this lead to a strong friendship between the two of them.

SHEEP was eventually changed to SHIELD, feeling it was more appropriate and less ridiculous. By this time, the technology used was more advanced, along with their attire. Fury's role in the operation kept rising and rising, and after the death of the previous Director and a trusting ally of Nick Fury - Commander Timothy Dugan - he became the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., bringing in several new Departments such as the Avengers Initiative and the accidental Fantastic Four.

Absolutely stunning. Nick Fury as a mutant, I wish I had that idea. Do his team know about him being a mutant? How they feel about it?

Yes, people know he is a mutant, it has been publicised. They're all fine with him being one, but some people may be against it... [see Bolivar Trask]

Speaking of Bolivar Trask is he also gonna be a part of your Spider-Man universe as an employer of Richard and Mary Parker as well as Edward Brock Senior?

I'm not familiar with his relationship to Spider-Man, but I can read up and try to incorporate it.

I was referring to Ultimate Spider-Man specifically during the Venom Saga when Peter Reunites with Eddie Brock and they talk about "The Suit" AKA The Venom Symbiote which was made with Richard's DNA to be a cure for cancer.

Well I was going to stick with the secret agent idea for Spidey's parents, which explains their disappearance... [don't read: their death]

So, you already created Bolivar Trask? IS he still created the mutant-hunting Sentinels?
