Description I suppose gunsmithing counts as metal work, so I'll probably be uploading some of my other projects. First up is my current favorite build - a Century Arms Golani sporter. I intentionally kept this project on the basic end of the spectrum, but that doesn't mean I didn't put any effort into it. The barrel has been shortened to 16 inches, with a modified Krebs 4-prong on the business end. The camouflage is hand painted by me, and the rest of the gun has been refinished with graphite black Cerakote. The night sights have been replaced with a new Meprolight set, and a re-parkerized and buffed Redstar trigger has also been fit.

Well, it's my favorite pattern. I've got this, a matching pistol, and a matching hat.

It only works in Southern California. The camo is so bad if doesn't work in Arizona or the Middle East.

It's one of the most hilarious screw ups the military ever made. Only UCP and the F-35 are worse.

I personally only do camouflage for aesthetics. Considering the fact that only the furniture is patterned, this gun really wouldn't blend in anywhere to begin with.

Grey metal blends in decently enough to urban areas.

Either way, it was never my intent to have it blend in. And if it was, I would've mixed a batch of non-reflective matte black Cerakote instead of satin.

As a huge fan of the Galil I am jealous. The desert camo stock, grip, and hand guard actually look really well with the rest of the weapon. Although I prefer the ARM model over the AR but that's just personal preference.

I too prefer the ARM, but finding a gas block with the bipod mount is extremely difficult.

I would imagine so. Plus doesn't the bipod double back as a wire cutter?

I'm not sure about that, but it does work as a bottle opener.

I just looked it up, there is a bottle opener in front of the hand guard and the bipod can be used as wire cutters.
