Fan art cake, part 2!Well, I've been seeing all kinds of adorable geeky cakes around the nets (katamari cakes, weighted companion cube cakes, rubik's cube cakes, corpse bride wedding cakes, etc. etc.) but I've never seen a GITS SAC cake...and I've been wanting to learn to decorate for a while. Since we love tachikoma to the point of obsession 'round these parts, what better excuse than Valentine's day?
This is my first attempt at a decorated cake EVER and I'm teaching myself, so there are a lot of errors, especially with the pink fondant and the shape of the cake itself (my recipes need work...-_-;; ). still, I think it's kind of pretty for a first try.

It took about 3 hours. It was my first time working with fondant, let alone making it from scratch. It was intense, but actually pretty fun!

Thanks! I handmade everything out of marshmallow fondant (also homemade). I was striving for perfection.
