Description
The hot night air was uncomfortably sticky but to Kale it didn't matter. The man leaned on the fence as Sora let out a wobbly sign as she rested her head against the top post of the fence. "I'm sorry about your dad." Kale offered, knowing it wouldn't ease her pain but not knowing what else to do. Sora wiped her eyes and looked at him. "Thanks," she said sniffling slightly. "I'll be okay. I'm just lost you know?"
Kale didn't know, he'd never experienced a loss like she had. Sure he'd said goodbye to pets, dogs and cats. A few great horses too; but never a person. Hell all of his grandparents were even still alive. But seeing Sora so broken and tired killed him. Kale reached out and touched her shoulder hoping it was comforting in the slightest sense.
"I wasn't ready," she whispered, leaning into his touch. "I'm only 24, I shouldn't lose my dad. I already lost my mom." A harsh sob left her and Kale immediately pulled her in for a full fledged hug. Sora clung to him and wept. He let her do it as she stained his shirt and practically blew her nose on his sleeve, because this was the hardest day of her life and he would do anything to help her. He looked away from the crown of her head, watching the mares and their foals rest on the grassy knoll. Tonight would be the last with their mothers before the young horses were separated for good. He closed his eyes and looked away. Sora pulled back at his movement, frowning up at him. Her nose crinkled as she scoffed. "I'm sorry I've made a mess of your shit." Kale let he go before brushing it off. "It's just a shirt. Besides I'm a trainer, I've had worse stuff on me." She let out a slight laugh before rubbing her eyes again. Kale leaned against the fence, watching the mares and foals again. Sora coughed before clearing her throat again. " Which one do you like again?" She asked, her voice had broke in the middle but he chose to ignore it. Instead he pointed to Narrabri who was doting on her large colt in the field. The silver bay sleepily looked at his mother, content to have her care for him. Sora looked him over before biting her lip. "He's cute..." she started but her eyes began to fill with tears. Kale reached for her but Sora held her hand up. "Its okay, please just distract me." she requested. Kale nodded and tried to remember the notes he had taken on him over the last few days. Hey was a friendly fellow with a good temperament and an eagerness to please. Something that he wanted to get into the stable. "Well his name is Robby, full name is Warrnambool but since that is so long they just call him Robby?"
Sora rolled her eyes and the statement and he laughed, "What." She smirked and rubbed her hands together. "Its nothing. I had a friend named Robby growing up. His mom and my dad were close. Our families used to vacation together." Kale smiled at that. " Sounds like those were good times." She frowned and turned back to look at the colt. The silver bay and his dam had come to rest by the water trough, both dozing in the night while the jet lagged humans discussed them nearby. Sora absentmindedly reached out and twisted her fingers in his shirt sleeve. "What are you going to do with him?"
"Well if he gets as big as his mom I'd love to train him in vaulting and dressage. But if he stays more medium I'd love to have him under hunter. I think he will be as big as his mom."
Sora laid her head against Kale's arm. "Sounds like he would suit you." She smirked, Kale huffed before eyeing her. "I don't show. You know this." She shrugged not saying anything. Kale rubbed her hand. "He could fit you. If you wanted that is." The trainer offered and Sora shook her head. "I don't think I'm up for a new project Kale." Kale turned to her, looking her dead in the eye before continuing. "Sora, you just went through the toughest thing that has ever happened to you. I can never fix that , change it, or feel what you feel. But this colt is about to have his life turned upside down too. He will never see his mother again. He will be introduced to scary new things and h needs a partner who understands him. This isn't pitty or a kind gesture Sor. I really do think you might be the best thing for him. If you're up for it." Sora closed her eyes and started to cry, it was the kindest and most thoughtful thing she had heard all day.l Quickly she embraced Kale, burying her face in his shirt one more and sobbing from grief and humility. Kale hugged her back, just happy she felt a little better.

Personality:
Robby is a sweet and gentle young colt, with a kind heart and lovely nature. He is not the sharpest horse, nor the quickest learner, but he is kind and gentle and tries his hardest to please the people around him. He is quite sensitive really, and shows great gentleness with people and creatures smaller than him. He adores the barn cat and follows that fluffy tail wherever it goes, and he is incredibly careful about being too rough with it.
Temperament Scale:
1 < 10 > 10
Quirks:
- However he was never difficult to handle and with a kind touch and patient teacher he was a wonderful young colt to work with. We don't expect him to be too studdish as he matures and his kind nature should be encouraged to help him mature into a wonderful level headed stallion. Robby has been successfully led, tied, trimmed and trailered with no issues.
Vices:
- His training was the slowest of the foals, as he takes a little while to fully grasp concepts and tended to stand still in confusion.
