In honor of Spider-Man officially entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It had to happen sooner or later, didn't it? With all these fusions I'm making for heroes in my fan-universe, Earth-1780, I suppose it was bound to happen that I should make my own version of the original Web-Slinger, himself. I call him the Incredible Spider-Man!

Why did I give him a cape? Because capes are cool, that's why!

Okay, time for a backstory. Actually, there's not much to tell. Instead of New York, the Webhead of Earth-1780 lived in Chicago, Illinois. Just like in the mainstream universe, Earth-1780's Peter Parker was bitten by an irradiated spider, giving him powers. He made his own costume using retired costume pieces from his college's theater department, as well as his own famous ingenuity, and became (who else?) the Incredible Spider-Man! Then, in 2015, after countless adventures, he came up against his one-time friend Harry Osborn, who had by that time taken up the identity of Iron Venom, intending to avenge his father's death. Peter fought bravely against Osborn's invasion, alongside many of Earth-1780's mightiest heroes, but even together, they were no match for the endless army of Venom Troopers. In the end, the heroes fell, but not before Peter heroically sacrificed his own life trying to stop the Venom Empire's advance. At his funeral, the American Spider (Steve Rogers), the original Iron Spider (Anthony "Tony" Stark), the Blue Spider (Eugene "Flash" Thompson), Peter's old friend and superhero protege Spider-Boy (Miles Morales), Wild Spider (James "Logan" Howlett) and Spider-Fly (Henry "Hank" Pym) served as his pallbearers. Peter was buried beside his parents and Uncle Ben in Graceland Cemetery, wearing his Spider-Man suit (sans mask), and was mourned by all his friends and living family.

I am so sorry. The reason Peter Parker dies in my universe is not because I hate him (Peter is AWESOME), but because I felt it wouldn't be interesting enough to have him live on like in the mainstream Marvel universe (Earth-616). Besides, I wanted to give my universe a touch of the Ultimates universe (Earth-1610). I'll tell you more with the next installment.
