This is an arttrade with (you can find her part of the arttrade here
: fav.me/d7c9jy8 ) . I slightly deviated from her original request 
- I decided it'd be more interesting if the girl was actually a ghost and I am not quite sure, if the guy actually knows she is holding his hand - well maybe he does, maybe not - I'll leave that up to you guys to decide for yourselves !While drawing this I was occasionally listening to Suteki da Ne : www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlwSPM⦠- awmg so sad *A* .
Done in MS5 using a WI 5/M, time takenΒ ~5 hours

Thank you soo much !! Actually this was one of the first times where I decided on the rough colors before starting to color xD. The color scheme I used is called "analogous Scheme" where you pick 4 adjacent colors (purple to orange) - although I did cheat a bit xD and used some light yellow as well

Do you think this colouring technique would also look good on traditional art?
I know that problem when you're using way too many different colours but I haven't had that problem recently since I'm just using black watercolour

The color theory applies to digital and traditional art alike : ) ! If you want I can recommend some helpful books. However - I am sure you can find all these information on the internet as well - one interesting size I just found on color theory: www.colormatters.com/color-and⦠- it looks really interesting. For further details on the established color schemes, try goggling "color schemes" or something along the lines : ) .

Haha thank you for saving me from that horrid sky I tried earlier !! As for the ghost: The version where the girl is opaque (i.e. "human" xD) isn't that different from the current version but I kinda preferred the ghostly vibe :3 . I still have the original so if I am not too lazy I might upload the non-ghost-version later on

I just read that Suteki da Ne thing and think it kinda fits the mood in this pic, although I could also imagine a cheerful theme for this ^^. I always like to think back when I played FFX (I think it was the only one of the FF games which I actually finished ^^v), amazing game with great emotion!
